Does divorce settlement money goes to the court

Dear Experts,

My wife and I have decided to go for mutual consent divorce. We have reach final settlement at X amount of Rs.

Her lawyer says that the check will be submitted to the court. My wife states that if I give her the demand draft, then she will start the mutual consent  process.  My lawyer says only check information will be submitted to the court.

I am wondering is there any safe way handle the matter so that both parties do not doubt.

How it works?

looking for many possible answers.

Regards

Raghavendra from Mumbai

get the dd for the settelment amount 2 days before the final hearing/statement date of mcd and give it to the judge. it will be mentioned in the order with all the particulars.

The Cheque orDD can be handed over to the wife at the second motion but there is nothing wrong in informing the serial number to the court in advance.

it will be better for both the parties, execute a MOU and start further proceedings. feel free to call
