Does house belong to me?

Based on the gram panchayat (since my village in Gujarat is small) records and revenue department record, I own a house since 1985 and it was transferred to me based on my Grand Fathers (expired in 1981) WILL in 1985. The house is empty. It was tranferred by my father and he has also expired.

No one including Gram Panchayat has copy of WILL (checked all relevant offices where possible).

Does any of my grand father's daughter or my brothers and sisters have any rights on this house now after 27 years of transfer on my name.

Documents I have in my favor are Gram panchayat record, akarni (revenue) register and property tax receipts

Dear Leenaji,

If the house which has been transferred is not an ancestral property and was self acquired from the earnings of your grand father, no one has right, share, claim and interest on the same.

Even otherwise, now no one can challenge the mutation and transfer of the same before court, if at all someone claims to have right/share or interest, the limitation period for challenging the same having lapsed which is 3 years from the date of knowledge.

Thank you Yougeshji.
I do not know if the property is ancestral or not. I doubt it but not sure.
Would that make any difference on my rights on the house?

Dear Leena,

It does belong to you now. As I said earlier period of 27 years having lapsed, the limitation period for challenging the mutation of the property in your name has lapsed. So rest be assured and don't worry.
