In my opinion, yes, woman can file a petition u/s 12 of PWDV Act against son in law , provided that she is sharing the same residence and suffers violence from him.

yes a female can file a case under dv act against her son in law if all are living together n thy are harrasing her kindly refer to apex courts latest decision
