double jeopardy

A is convicted for B murder and was given punishment for 14 years after the term of punishment he find B doing perfectly fine in another state , out of rage now he actually kills B.
will he be punished for murdering B again ?

Yes, he will be tried for offence committed , however, the earlier conviction will be set aside , and the duration of imprisonment suffered will be taken into awarding while pronouncing judgement
