Dowry

My brothers wife filled a written complaint on my brother and mother for Harrasment for dowry.

Police did call my brother and mother for investigation.

Afterfew days they again called us and told that the girl wants her ornaments which are given by her parents.

On same day my brothers in law was forcing police officer to arrest my brother and mother but she told him that due to supreme courts order we can not arrest them as we need to complete the verifiaction.

More over my brithers In law created the scene there and police officer gave us letter stating that you go to family court for divorce.

Now can my brothers in law go to other police station as the police station wwhere the first time written complaint was submitted by my brothers wife did not register the FIR.

They can register FIR in either your or their jurisdiction.

You and your mother also register a FIR against them.

It is good to apply Anticipatory Bail. Please see the links bellow for more details.

we both stay in same Jurisdiction.

Moreover girls side gave a written complaint in police station but police did the verification and told tham that they dont think FIR needs to be filled and they refused to file FIR. Moreover they also give my brother a letter stating that So N So complaint was raised against you and we request you to file a divorce petition in family court.

also they promised us to give other documents later.

Okay, Police might have taken her complaint as NC. You and your mother / and others should also register a FIR / NC against them immediately before filing divorce so that police can start investigation on this and give you proper report. This report you can produce as evidence for your divorce case.
