dowry case before marriage

Can a case of demanding dowry be filed before marriage (no ceremony done) in case of arranged marriage through online advertisement? What kind of problems the boy has to face in that case?

The solution is in your hands.  If the other party demands dowry say No to the alliance.  Why do you wish to invite problems in a marriage with all these disturbing issues?  Marry that person with whom you can live happily.
