My father died intestate, leaving behind me and my sisters. Both my sisters are well settled outside India and will each be executing a release deed in my favour.
Given that both my sisters are in the USA, can I have them sign the release deed and have it notarized along with their photo and send it to me. I will register those release deeds here in India (Tamil Nadu).
Would I have to pay duty on the property value that's being released by my sisters and if so what %?
