Dv and 498a case after 5 years of desertion

My wife has given a complaint in polic station that I used to beat her and I have thrown her out of the house.

And all family members used to ask for dowry.

Do these things have any weightage now?

We both stayed together for 2.5 months and for 5 years we are away from each other.

got any proof to show that since five years you both are living sepertely? If you have challenge the FIR in the high court.

My neighbour know that we are not together for around 5 years and they are agree for witness in police station.

2.5 months enough for dowry harassment...but no weightage in this case...

demand compensation for harassment...

fix her in crpc...

I do agree that 2.5Months is enough for any harrassment but doing act for that after many years (i.e. 5) will itself not tell the truth.

If she suffered why was she not doing any act/complaint till 5 years.
