i am of the opinion that, 90% of the advocates are uneithical. They are only interested in money and not their clients getting the justice.
What is the general opinion?

Can you justify ETHICS in other professions.....????
ethics lies in a human being and not in a profession
Nitin (Professional) 28 January 2011
You have a point there. Let me put it anther way, only unetical people get attracted to this profession. What is unethical? Cheating clients. Well, there are unethical persons in all professions, Lawyers are at the top. My 55 years of experience, says that.

I recently visited a renowned Law college (Youngsters there are really naive and innocent and exuberent)
Legal eduction MUST be made compulsary to everyone followed by a 2 year stint in army.
I disagree with you Nitin, its your emotional outburst.

How did you arrive at 90% figure? There are over 1 million lawyers in India.
Also....Is 90% is top figure? What about politicians, beaurocrats, police, CAs, Other Govt Depts, All businessmans
And who triggers the Court suits?.....................
What's an unenthical profession?............where there are more than 50% of people (who themselves are good but) doing unethical acts. This is the simplest definition.
If most of the unethical domains (having more than 50% unethical elements) have a unethical population ranging between 89 to 91% then this 90% becomes really meaningless comparatively!!!
So by raking 90% figure arbitrarily...................... you are unncessarily sensationalising it.
Come up with a proper data and you will be suprised with your opinions that you are unnecessarily blaming on one profession only because it lacks holistic approach!! (I am not saying you shouldn't blame!!! Even judiciary is blaming some of the lawyers as 'adjournement experts'. But blame should be such that It shouldn't single out someone out of the lot.)

Why you need a lawyer first of all. Because you have done some thing wrong and want to come out of it. So why blame advocates.
Tell on this site openly that in your 55 years expereince how many times you were right and approached lawyer for help.

What's the difference between a good lawyer and a bad lawyer?
A bad lawyer can let a case drag out for several years. A good lawyer can make it last even longer.

There are two kinds of lawyers, those who know the law and those who know the judge.
