Enforcement authorities

IPL is the most in news now.  Is it not that time and again  the enforcing authorities turn a blind eye and gets into action only when enough dust is kicked up. When they get into action the whole scenery is murky and one does not know who gets caught and who will escape.  Several times it is the small fry which get caught and the bigger fish get away.

If IPL was assessed in time this situation would not have been reached now.  After all IPL body has filed IT returns for two seasons earlier.  Corporate discipline is something which is not known in India where there is free flow of money and emotions (fans are a craze).

Why do not we keep corporate governance and abiding by law separate from our politics?  I think it is time for the people to question what the Govt did not do for two years that it is doing now. All this is one more eye wash.  Any investigations/ legal proceedings will carry on for a few years (well not less than 4-5 years) and by that time everything will be forgoten and forgiven!
