Enquiry on c/r report

In an FDP case the regarding the partition of property the court commissioner given the survey report in sketch but due to objection of the opposite party the court has orderd for enquiry on c/r report. does the judge enquire the us or the surveyor does the old survey order will be cancelled please guide me.
