Hi! Thank you for the question! Yes, it is totally possible but still it depends on the legal advice being given to him by his lawyer. He will have to send you a notice before eviction. However it is not understandable as to why are you paying regular rents if the flat is lying vacant for such a considerably long time ? It is further another issue that if you have paid and the landlord has accepted the rent regularly, the relation between the landlord and the tenant is established and if you have refused to handover the possession amicably, in the light of the same a landlord is required to send eviction notice to the tenant to take the possession of the flat, if he so desires.
