Eviction of Tenant who is staying for past 14 years

Hi, I have an ancestral property in my village. This property is in my father's name. It is more than 30 years old property. This house is rented to my current tenent for past 14 years. There is no rental agreement between us.  But now, we want to ask my tenent to vacate this property. Is there any law that my tenent can use to against use? Or is there any law to safe guard the owner in this situation? Please help.

Thanks,

Raj

Evicting a tenant is not easy, but you have to find out the reasons from the Rent Act which you could apply to evict him.

First why don't you approach the tenant as a normal landlord asking the tenant to vacate the premises. Then if refuses approach this forum with the actual problems and the situation, then it will be possible to guide you.

Unless you can show to the court that your hardships are more than than of tanent no eviction.
