i am working as a staff nurse at jipmer pondicherry, my problem is as per rules for a staff nurse the ratio of pt:nurse is 1:1 patient in icu and 1:8 in general wards and 4 days of night duty per month. but in jipmer we are getting a nurse:pt ratio of 1:16 some times 1:20 and we are getting every 15days once night duty for 5days, and over this we need to maintain so registers, we are accountable for other things which are not related to our proffession, and over that seniors torcher,.. so how we fight against this legally please explain ... our authority is not willing to hear any our problems and thing is that only staff nurses are suufering more other senior staffs and other department staffs are working as per rules only.. for our cadre daily frequently they are making new, new rules torchering us...
