Exparte divorce appeal period.

hi experts.

want you advise and comment on my query:

when is a divorce called an 'exparte divorce'

1) when the respondent does not appear at all since the beginneing of the case

2) or if the respondent appears, files her written say' and objection to the petition and then disappears and does not appear for the remaining part of the proceedings of the case and the case gets exparte orders

in such scenario. what is the appeal period or the set aside period.?
