In absence of written statement defendant can't adduce any evidence  however he can cross examine plaintiff and his witnesses.

What kind of evidence. Order has been made ex-parte. Now you can,by citing reasons, make an application to the court to set aside this ex-parte order.

For more assistance, you may engage advocate of your choice.

Thank  you.

If defendant engage advocate and didn't file W. S. And plaintiff adduce evidence then they can cross exam.

T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Advocate)     06 April 2024

If the defendants are set exparte then they either can file a petition to set aside the exparte orders along with the written statement or, in the absence of any steps taken by defendants, the plaintiff can adduce exparte evidence of plaintiff side.

The court may pass orders for exparte evidence.
