Extending notice period during probation

Hi,

I am working at IT company @chennai. My probation period was 6 months and as per HR document/ offer letter that they mentioned probation period notice period was 7 days post probation it was 30days. But yesterday my manager asked me to serve 2months of notice period I ask why I have to serve 2months of notice since my official notice period was 7 days? still he insist me to serve 2 complete month notice period. please suggest what should I do now?

You can resige as per your offer letter.

Kindly tender your resignation online and keep a record of the same with you personally. Let the company come back to you officially and ask for two months notice for resignation.

This will put your manager on hook as he has to justufy the said 2 months notice period say.
