False complaint

A person made false complaint against us for which police issued two notices to me.  I got

the copy of the ocmplaint under RTI Act.  Now the person has denied that complaint.

Can police deny his complaint as his complaint is in the record of police station.  IF yes, on

which basis.  Can police issue notice without varifying the fact given in complaint.

My ADvocate is saying that we will not inform court about the notices as it will show that police

has worked honestly.  but I want him to tell the court about those notices.  please advice.

The person stated that he is the owner of the house we are residding and whenver he tries to enter our house we use to scold him.  Police even do not ask ownership papers from that man and later on this person told the court that he had niothing to do with our house.
