False cybercrime complaint against me

Need legal advise to unhold ₹4000 from my bank account which is wrongfully held by police due to a cybercrime complaint

Police is not willing to cooperate and asking me to visit police station first

I have the evidence of the legit transaction in case as it was dealt with another third party and not the complainant. Even the complainant has agreed of the false case and also asked police to withdraw the complaint but police is not willing to co-operate. Please advise.

You issue a legal notice to the concerned police giving the details by attaching documentary evidences.

If the police is still not taking any action you may approach higher police officer of the city for intervention and remedial action.

Why you are reluctant to approach police and sort out the issue ?

Because the police station where the complaint is registered is 700 kms away from my place. Now, police officer is asking me to visit my nearby police station and then call him from there (I dont think my nearby police station has to do anything with this case). Also, I do not want to visit because I am afraid they might try to extort money from me. Pls advise if I should visit nearby police station.

If you are not at fault then there's nothing for you to be scared about it.

You may better consult a local lawyer and get some advice
