First you decide as to you want to divorce him. it is totally depend on you. under hindu marriage act there are certain ground on which couple can take divorce. it is not contract as by mutual consent you can take divorce. though in the law there are provision but let me make you clear that it is you who will decide weather t ocontinue or finish the relation under law you are entitled for maintencne for your life depending upon the income of you husban and other factor. it is not that much easy task for your husband to divorce you. it is not child game. I know that my point is that her husband might not filed any case against her, he only want to have child and / or only have physical relationship with her.
but she may be not ready for this, So he threated that he will file divorce case against her and she is checking that this defense will work or not
