Family property issue

We have a family property in Indore, which originally belonged to my great grand father. He died without making any will. he had two sons, my grand father and his brother. My grandfather before his death wrote that he did not want any share in that house. Does that mean my father won't have a share either? As the property belonged to my great grand father, does my grand father's decision will effect my father's share in that property? At the time of my great grand father's death my father and uncles were already born.

Your father does not have any independent right of inheritance. Since your grandfather has relinquished his right so the same is also binding on his legal heirs i.e. your father.
