FIR complications

Seller has taken sale agreement amount, not ready for sale, not giving money...

What are the complications faced with filing of an FIR?

Once an FIR is filed, will it hinder a civil suit?

Can a civil and a criminal suit be filed together?

Is it true that criminal courts have no jurisdiction to reward money back? even the exact amount that was given?

Thanks. Very puzzled and anxious...

criminal court can grant you compensation but that power is hardly excercised unless asked for. civil and criminal both proceeding can lie simultaneously without any hindrance problem. civil case will give you only money with interest but in criminal cae, if properly conducted from your side, the other side will come for settlement on your terms. file both of them.

Appreciate that very much, but just wondering about any  complications caused by filing of an FIR, if any....

  • Once an FIR is filed, will it cause any problem to proceed with a criminal suit or a civil suit?
  • Also, just to confirm... you say that a civil and a criminal suit be filed together... and would be better?
  • Also, I mainly want my money back... would it be better to go for a civil suit? Would it be very problematic to go for a criminal suit to get the money back? Is there a chance that I might NOT get my money back in a criminal suit?
