I got a cheque from party and it got bounced. during further recovery process I lost original cheque. in the meantime negotiation was going on.now party refused to pay.I gave a application along with affidavit in Police Station for Lost Cheque.

1. what will be the police action on my application?
2. Is my application is equivalent to FIR?
3. can respondant' bank verify/certify Xerox copy of my lost cheque on the basis of police Application/FIR?
4. If I approach respondant bank to get verification of Xerox copy of lost cheque, after FIR will bank certify it?
