A digruntled party did not put any documentary or witness or any other no evidences,just based on verbal complaint the police booked a case u/s 504,506 & 509 . Generally the people say that they have very much infuence inside the police dept as thier relatives are working.
Now its being a month, the police did nt proceeding further nor filing chargesheet into the court.
Question to experts pl: How many months the fir can be in the police station, is there any time limit say after 1/2/3 year the complaint becomes null and void if in case police doesnot take any action?
