Dear Experts,
What happens in First Hearing of a criminal case? I understand the lawyer will be present but does the judge ask whether one is guilty or not in first hearing directly to accused. Also is the accused asked to tell his side of the story in the first hearing itself. How much time does a hearing last. Quite tensed so kindly guide.

This is case of fighting between two individuals and 326 so a state case so what will happen in first hearing? I understand the lawyer will be present but does the judge ask whether one is guilty or not in first hearing directly to accused. Also is the accused asked to tell his side of the story in the first hearing itself. How much time does a hearing last. Quite tensed so kindly guide.
