Flash Dharna on Saturday @Town Hall, Bangalore to protest La

NFHS is organizing Flash Dharna to protest Law Commission reccomendation to make 498A IPC compoundable which will increase Legal Extortion and Legal Terror.

If Criminal cases are allowed to be compounded then only rich and mighty people will compound their cases and there will be no fear of commiting crime.

This will become a mockery of Criminal Justice System.

E.g. a person can do murder and offer "settlement amount" to his relatives.

Venue: Town Hall, Bangalore

Timing: 9.30 AM to 11 AM coming saturday - 2nd July

Currently this law is non compundable - there is a proposal to make it compoundable. Do you think is it a step backwards? If yes Why?

Or are you saying that it is a peace meal solution and you are not agreeing for it?

compoundable or not will not make much defference, it should be made bailable.

A person can do rape and offer hand for marriage and even Hon'ble SC sends that man free

First they (read wife) involves you and your family in case and send you to jail...and then they say "Its okay honey, i will forgive you, dont do it again ..."
