Functioning of the housing society committee

Respected Seniors,

I live in Housing Complex having an elected Committee from among the members and which is duly registered with the Registrar. It has its Bye Laws.

The Committee is over ruling the Bye Laws in inducting the members, carrying out meeting without set corum and taking financial decisions, inviting persons who are not members of the Complex as per bye Laws and in taking various contracts and purchases.

How the committee can be challenged ?

Your valuable advices can be helpful in checking the wrong doings and bringing fairness in the system.

Thanks.

File written complaint to the registrar of cooperative societies

If you are affected by their decisions taken by not following the legal steps in this regard, you may make a complaint in writing registering your protest and asking them to make the records straight, if you dont find a solution forthcoming, you may move a complaint with the Registrar of cooperative society narrating the events  which are contrary to law and the irregularities while seeking relief from  such activities.

Please state in which State and city is your Society. Laws change from State to State. What kind of Society do you have, is it a co-operative society, a society under Societies Registration Act,  any ownership flats act or any other Act?
