Sir,

So far in this case, the Strict Liability clause has been revoked by the NGT similar to that of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy that took place. The impact of the same is still being looked into by the police in the city. It is important to note that it is not a criminal case but a case in the National Green Tribunal which has taken suo motu cognizance of the case. The same action has also been taken up by the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The update regarding the same is that an FIR has been filed against the company LG Polymers under Section 278, 284, 285, 304, 337 as well as 338. New gas leak risks have been determined by the experts in the case as of now.

Hope this helps, Thank You.
