Gift deed

i wanted to know about gift deeds, can we transfer the property from father to son through this and is there any stamp duty to be paid kindly confirm...... I needed to take home loan for construction of home, where as the property is in the name of my fathers name, so can the property be transferred through gift deed ..... and is that valid ..... for taking home loan...

Yes father can execute a gift deed in your favour, it has to be registered. The Stamp duty varies, amongst close relations it is 2-3 %.
