Gift deed-death of beneficiary

Hi, Am looking for your expert advice regarding status of property when the beneficiary of a gift deed dies of natural death. My father and his elder brother had written a gift deed in the name of my aunt (my father's younger sister). Last year due to a sudden cardiac arrest she passed away, within 2 months her husband and my father's brother both passed away leaving my father as the only survivor. In this scenario does the gift deed autmatically become null and void? If so, is there any legal action my father should take to claim the property under his name?
