my wife has a property in his father's name which is documented by government and given in his name nomination as my wife's mother in the year 1998 in that document it is mentioned for a period of 10 years you can't sell this property or change in others name ,now it has already 14 years completed can i document this in my wifes name after doing that can we sell that property

You have to see under what provision the land and house was given initially and whether any restriction for not alienating the property for 10 years was a legally valid under the applicable provision of the law applicable in that particular State.
