Govt Servant as member of NGO

Depends on the State Government servants Conduct Rules which varies from State to State. But so long such activities does not hamper his official duties there is no reasons why such charity works should be prohibited by any state governments. In fact in Rotary Clubs and Lions Club etc, many Government servants are taking active parts in social and charity works. In fine, if any activities which are not prejudicial to the interest of the severeignty of India or public order or morality there is no reasons why Government servants be prohibited to do social and charity works. Rather Government should encouraged such activities on its employees.

He can be a member with the prior permission of the government

If you want teach in a NGO as a charity of act you must take prior permission from The District Collector and The District  Educational Officer.

As stated earlier Government servants conduct Rules varies from state to state, but as far as taking gifts etc. there  are limitation and restrictions up to certain extend, but why should there be a restrictions on charity and welfare  works? Should the Government servants obtain permission to serve the poor and the needy? to serve the orphans School etc? Ofcourse such acts shouuld not interfere in their official duties, but under any circumstances they should not be restricted or even obtain permission for such noble works. Government servants are not super human beings as to be excluded from the call of duty by the society, rather as a human beings they are very much a part and parcel of the society and they owe a duty to the society. Consider this, there is a dire needs of a helping hand in an orphan School and the Government seravants wants to extend his helping hands but his request was refused, should he or she just remain idle at home doing nothing. I am of the view that no State in India should imposed such resrictions.Is it not our Fundamental duties to reach out to the poor and the needy?

For the acts of charity immeterial of whether he is a Govt employee or any otherone there is no legal restraint.

THERE  IS  NO  RESTRICTION  FOR THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE  TO JOIN   NGO &  TEACH.

Opinion expressed by Mr.Asumi is perfectly well in, but such NGO should not be in profit making, i hope, so that all the needy community like poor, deprieved,downtrodden,disabled etc were may be upgrade their life through any NGO etc.
