One rule for Goan, another rule for non-Goan
My buildings of balconies on either side of my villa at ground level have been classed as illegal and society committee has asked collector for demolition.
I have discovered that similar balconies at ground level also exist at other villa’s which the committee have not asked to be demolished.
I did ask permission from the committee to have these balconies built but they never consented and no decision given – this has been going on for a few years. In frustration I went ahead and had them build.
Now committee quick to make decision to demolish them.
I am based in South Goa and of Indian origin but the society committee is Goan and the other villa’s with ground level balconies are all owned by Goan.
People are now questioning whether I am been discriminated as I am not goan.
