Hi,
I got married about an year back. My wife had a dispute with HDFC bank credit card team regarding some purchase that her family had made. Now, the collection agents from HDFC bank are harrassing not only me but my family and neighbours as well and threatining my parents and also spreading defaming statements in my neighbourhood.
Can I take some action against them?
Please advise.

The best way is to send a legal notice regarding the harassement to the bank as well as the collection agency alse ( Enclose a copy to the concerned Banking Ambudsman).They will come to terms.

Serve a legal notice to Bank complaining against the alleged harassment of the Debts Recovery Agency. Such harassment is barred by the Notification of the Reserve Bank of India.
