Harrassment by co-operative hsg society committee members

The committee members in our society have taken a decision to ban the residents to dry clothes outside. This is so when the dry area provided by the builder in not sufficient to dry clothes for even a nuclear family of 3. The committee has decided to levy a fine of Rs. 1000/- per day. The decision to ban the clothes line has been taken by the managing committee and not in the AGM. Does the bye laws of Maharahstra Co-operative Society Act give them the rights to take this decision. Do the laws permit such a steep daily fine

1. The Society Mg.Committee do NOT have jurisdiction to pass /levy such Fine /penalties and neither does the General Body. There is no such Law, Rule or Bye-Law. 2. Simply stop paying such Fine /penalties, since the Registrar /Coop. Court, will reject the recovery claim of the Society, at the time of dispute. Keep Smiling ....
