House ownership

Before my father died he constructed the frame of the house including foundation, columns, and slab. And my grandparents literally forced my mother to finish the project my father started. The land is owned by my grandfather. And now after 10 or so years he says he'll partition the house into 5 parts and giving them to my cousins from my 2 uncle's. I mean can he really do that.please advise

Is the subject property self-acquired or ancestral of your grandfather ?

If it is self-acquired he can dispose it to anyone, otherwise he is one of the other coparceners .

SInce the land is on the name of your grandfather means your Uncles are share holders, he can distribute it as he wills, now you have invested in building you can claim the expenses from all of the share holders but you have to prove your investiment

Yes, if the property is self acquired property of grand father then he can transfer it to anyone as per his wish.
