Houseowner does not provide drinking water

Respected Sir, My brother lives in rented house in Tamil nadu with his Wife and Son. No written rental agreement with houseowner who lives downstairs. Houseowner is asking him to vacate house. Due to business loss and money problem, he is unable to vacate but can do so in 3 months’ time. Houseowner’s son (about 33 years) picked up argument with him, and threw away his drinking water pots when he was filling with drinking water. He submitted written complaint but Police are not accepting his Complaint. Houseowner is not providing drinking water and essential water. I respectfully seek to know suggestions to how he may manage the situation. Police Inspector is houseowner’s friend.

Record the irrefutable evidence of instances and keep some unshakable witnesses…

Lodge complaint with higher officials under proper acknowledgment …..

Take help of LOCAL women Thana and Woman Commission…

Or resolve amicably and settle on 3 months’ time..

Or entrust to a very able LOCAL  senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in civil matters and well versed with LOCAL applicable rules/laws and having successful track record…. and worth his/her salt
