How much for how many--

I believe there are  lakhs of NGOs operating in this poor country. We are told 77 % of our population lives with meagre Rs 20 a day. It is very obvious that those 77 % are not amongst the directors of any NGO. 5 % of our population are super rich. I think they may not stoop down to that low level to run any NGO. It leaves us with mere 18 % of the population. If we categorise these 18 % population two distinct categories such as adults and children then we are left with appx 9% of the population who are eligible to become a member of any NGO. There are many  types of NGOs. Govt aided fully, partially and not aided. Here we are concerned about the number of govt aided NGOs. Therefore there are not more than mere 2-3 % of our population who are supposedly receiving a huge Quantum of money in the name of their respective NGOs and abusing those aids to its perfection. Is it so difficult to find out who are those men or women who are fed with govt money for gross misuse?

Why can't we compel the govt at the centre as well as at all the states to stop alloting any fund to any NGO- nON gOVERNMENTAL oRGANISATIONS.

You calculation etc., quiet correct. At the same time your advise in stoping the fund to NGO Orgs. is not correct. because because of some donkey all you treating same way There is a saying in Telugu"GADIDALANU GURRAL;ANU OKECHOTA KATTARANI" means horses & doneys are tied in one place only.  The Government wshould check the actual fund going where is the purpose of releasing fund is serving or not? BUT No one will think of this Because all the m,ain fund eaters are Politicians only maximum.

so if you can you put pressure on government to check throughly before releasing funds to NGO Orgs.,

All N.G.O.s are not like that. But most of them are appropriating the funds for them, they depositing the fund in their personal account. There should be strict and responsible monitoring authorities. The monitoring authority also should be cross checked. Then only some part of the funds will be reached to the needy people.

Take a relook on the issue. The name suggests those are NGOs- Non Govermental Organisations. Firstly why should those NGOs be funded by govts at the states or at the centre? Here comes the discretions and adhocisms in alloting that BAAP KA FUNDS sorry TAX payers money.

In one hand we blame politicians for abusing the power of the office on the other hand we want them use their discretionery powers to allot a hefty amount from the MPLADs etc as was in the case of NAVIN cHA wala, the erstwhile Election Commissioner of India.

Take another look what happens when the NGOs are not funded by the govt at the states or centre? They are funded by the people of India who in turn ensures those funds are used judiciously for the purpose it was collected.

When govt allots funds and do not ensure its judicial use the problems start there. The matter get complex when NGOs are allowed to receive funds in the name of religion and use them for manufacturing bombs to kill the people of this state. It gets murkier when foreign powers donate millions to push their agenda in this country. They are acpable of dislodging a govt at the state eg CPM led govt for 34 years in West Bengal and now trying to destabilise govt at the centre by funding the NGOs led by Anna or Baba Ram or by Sri Sri 420 etc etc.

It is time that govt at the centre as well as at the states are constitutionally debarred from alloting any fund in any form in any name to any NGOs doing good work or faking good works on paper. Proactive play by the Judiciary especially the Apex Court is most welcome here in this area of govt functions.

But will the YOURLORDSHEEPS act?
