How to cancel a family settlement registration

In 1970 my mother and her sister registered a family settlement for the property partition. as per the registration my mother got two lands and her sister got two lands..

But in 1980 my mother's sister was abscent and we can't find out where she is. So, we filled a case in court and and got the judgement as "my mother's sister is declared as civil dead and my mother is the sole owner of all the properties".

Now i want to cancel the  family settlement which was registered in 1970. because the buyer's of the properties asking question about this settlement and no one is ready to buy those properties..

plesae help me to cancel that registered document...

Thanks,

You cannot cancel the registration now as such. However, when there is a decree of the civil court in your mother's favor declaring your mother as the sole owner of the property then that is sufficient to dispel any doubt. Show a copy of the judgment to the prospective buyers.

I agree with the Adv Archana, available decree is sufficient.
