How to define ancestral property?

What is your concern / problem / facts of the story, if it is real and not an academic / time pass query ?

An ancestral property is a property acquired by your great grandfather which has been passed down from generation to generation (your grandfather and father) up to the present generation (you) without being divided or partitioned by the family.

Once divided among the stakeholders, an ancestral property would cease to be an ancestral property, and turn into a self-acquired property.
