Our house was part of a chawl. We were tenant paying rent of Rs 10 in 1985 but there were no receipts at that time.
In 1985, a builder came and did a agreement with all tenants and gave them flats on pagadi system. He did fraud with us only due to caste differences. He left blank spaces in agreement and took sign from us. Later he filled wrong details for the flat he was suppose to allot to us. We moved in court against the agreement where builder claimed we were not tenants in the first place as we didnt had receipts. But the court ruled in our favor and declared us tenant. Now the original land owner is dead and we dont know if any heirs are there to claim that land or whether builder himself is the owner. Now we have a doubt that builder is a owner as the society is not able to register themselves because builder is not giving them ownership document (I dont know what that is called.)
How can I get the list of owners of that land in the govt records
