How to get a patta

Our house is on a land which does not have patta...The akchona patta is in the name of its previous owner...And we always have to pay the reveneu on thier name...the previous owner had expired and now his sons are trying to make the miady patta...now how can we get patta in our name...?

very simple approach to the sub register office along with deed xerox copy. with Rs.2 stamp pasted letter.

Ask Tahsildar and pay appropriate fee at Bank, then produce that challan with supporting documents mentioned below.

1. Patta Application,

2. All attested Copies of Registered Sale Deed and with parent documents,

3. 21 years Encumbrance Certificate,

4. Revenue Bills (like EB, Water tax, Land Tax and etc receipts),

After submitting that application you have to followup with the Tahsildar office for getting a detailed report from VAO from your village, after receiving report from VAO they will issue Patta.
