How to track a personal cheque-

hello, one of my SBI  bank saving acct personal cheque is deposited for an amount of 5k..not sure who is that based on the transaction that i see.. is there any way to trace this out...the branch manager is of no help on this.as he says.he couldnt track the final destination account info.. so which department should i get in touch for this..am considering filing an RTI for this.but not sure who to file it..
