Hr related query

One of my friends has been working in a reputed Industrial House over 30 years+. As he has been detected with rarest blood disorder problem, he is now under life long and very much expensive supportive chemotherapy treatment. While there is no support from Company, can Mgt force that person to leave he organisation / sack him on account of poor performance. As he is under treatment , he needs to stay in Hospital for 4-5 days every alternate month on own cost. As he is lower cadre management staff, he is possibly not covered under Industrial Act. Please enlighten about legal courses available to him (Judgement / Act/Rules) so that he can sustain his family and continue his life under shadow. He is currently denied all promotional facility inspite of his continuous working even with so much hard pains, all to support family.

Thanks & Regards,

Since he is working since last 30 years. company must have been providing him medical cover like Group Mediclaim or ESIC benefit to mitigate the medical expenses.

Further, how many months more he has to go to hospital for treatment. had he discussed his problem with his superior, HR Dept. and any of the top management person in his company????

well company has got all the ways to terminat the employment for one or the other reason.
