I shall try to develop the thread if some learned friends can given exact/rough figure of the number our Jawans (of all forces BSF, CRPF, ITBF, Border Roads Orgn., Assam Rifles, etc. etc.) killed in PEACE TIME right from Kashmir to Nagaland, IPKF in Sri Lanka
vis-a-vis wars with Pakistan since 1948 (Kashmir operations, 1965, 1971 and Kargil).
Have we manufactured atom bombs to deter Pakistan? Yes. But we are afraid of Paki bombs.

Keeping atom bomb off course ido not deter either Pak or China. We lack in attitude and strategy.
