hello friend,

the governing law is the Excise Act........Liquor excise is in the domain of the states so the states r having their own laws in this respect.

pls find the relevant bare act for the concerned state.......every state has different set of penalities and punishments for such offences.

there are certain dos and  donts for clubs,if they have a valid permission from the excise authiorities they may serve liquor on the premises, and without a valid license you are serving liqor in the premiseof the club will entitle to seizure of the club and it is an offrence punishable under law.each and every state has its own legilated law on the subject as our learned friend had rightly said.so please go through the latest excise laws of your state for further information
