Important & urgent

Please advice on the query below:

Background - I am an NRI and my wife are now seperated and want to file a mutual divorce in bombay, we were married as per the (HIndu Marriage act). Please can you advice on the following:

To file the first motion I have been adviced that it can be intiated from US as long as I go to the Consulate and appear before the Consulate General to sign my papers

I understand that this is not a very common scenario and the lawyer handling this should be well aware of the procedures and have the sufficient rapport with the judge to convince the suitability of this. can you suggest a suitable lawyer in Bombay to take care of this?

Thanks

Dear Sir,

Since you are an NRI, it will obviously be difficult for you to make personal appearances in court for your divorce matters. I have heard of this website called lawkonect.com which can help you select a competent lawyer to represent you in the proceedings as well as assist you in your dealings with the lawyer.
