Incomplete Will

Dear Members,

My Grandfather expired leaving behind a property at Delhi. My Father along with my Uncle are staying there only.

The will made by him was not witnessed /registered/noted by any one but only signed by him on each page

The will was prepared in August 2007 when he was quite active.

Please suggest on the validity of the will?Is an unwitnessed will valid?

Thanks

A will is a compulsorily attestable documentd. Unless there are at least two attestors it is not valid. If the disposition is OK, then at least get it attested by two people known to you. Also note that a will is not a compulsorily registrable.

Sir,

Thanks for your advise.

The will somewhat is not in our favour .Can at this stage we can take a stand that their was no will at all .

Since my father and uncle do not want to go into litigation process and want to settle amicably amongst themselves
