Introduction of a joint name in the titile of the property

Dear Sir,

There is a owner of the residential  flat in the society with only his own name.  The owner now needs to add his wife's name in the titile as second joint owner. The questions are:

a) What are the ways and means through which the owner can do so?

b) Will there be stamp duty and registration charges?

c) OR can the owner simply execute a will and register the will such that in the event of his death the flat could be transferred in the name of wife.

Kindly clarify.

Regards,

Prashant

Dear Sir,

Thanks for the revert.

Could you further clarify following queries:

a) Is there any precribed form to file an application to introduce joint owner? What is the form no?

b) Where do i file the application? Is it in Sub registrar's office? Please clarify.

c) Do I need to pay any stamp duty?

I was thinking adding a joint name in the title was not that easy.

Please clarify sir.

Regards,

Prashant
