Is affidavit required for translations modi - marathi

We have some old documents in old modi lipi which are important part of our evidence we have done the translations to marathi and also submitted in the court. The question is do I need to file an affidavit of the translator or should I need to bring him as a witness in the court. Firstly is it really mandatory for me to even file the affidavit in first place or should I wait for other party to object too for the same?

If opposition objectsthe translator has to attend the court &give evidence. He should have to submit proof i.e he is professional translator eligible qualification.

We only have submited the translation without any affidavit of it.. the translation only bares the stamp of the translator.
